Public Benefit Media Environment Foundation

The “Public Media Environment” Foundation was established by the Government of the Republic of Armenia with the aim of supporting the audiovisual media sector. The Foundation promotes an increase in the share of public-interest content in audiovisual programs broadcast via the public multiplex, enhances public awareness, and ensures comprehensive and high-quality coverage of socially significant topics, including social, cultural, educational, and other important issues.

The Foundation fulfills its mission by providing grants to licensed broadcasters operating in the public multiplex, using funds allocated from the state budget as well as other financial sources not prohibited by law.

Overall, the activities of the “Public Media Environment” Foundation are aimed at improving the quality and public value of content broadcast through the public multiplex, developing the media environment, and increasing the level of public awareness.
